Unboxing a Brand for Portable Storage Solutions.
Stacking Success in a Challenging Landscape
In my role as a Website and Marketing Specialist at Cool Box, I was tasked with revitalizing the company’s digital presence and spearheading various marketing initiatives.
Cool Box, a portable storage company, faced significant challenges in a competitive market, but I focused on leveraging my skills in digital marketing, web management, and design to create impactful results.
When I joined Cool Box, the company’s website presented several significant challenges that were hindering its ability to attract and retain customers effectively. The existing website, as seen in the previous design, lacked modern aesthetics, user-friendly navigation, and a cohesive brand identity. The overall look was dated and cluttered, with inconsistent design elements and a lack of clear messaging, which made it difficult for visitors to quickly understand the value proposition of Cool Box's portable storage solutions.
Additionally, the website's structure was not optimized for SEO, leading to poor visibility in search engine results. The absence of a strong content strategy meant that the site was not effectively engaging visitors or converting leads. Furthermore, the digital marketing efforts were disjointed, with little integration between the website, social media, and other online marketing channels.
These challenges created a disconnect between Cool Box’s offerings and its digital presence, ultimately impacting the company’s ability to compete in the crowded portable storage market.
1. Digital and Print Marketing
I started by developing digital and print marketing materials to create a cohesive brand identity. This included creating promotional content for both online platforms and physical brochures.
2. Content Strategy & Website Consistency
I was responsible for creating and managing the digital content strategy, ensuring that the website maintained consistency in design and messaging across all pages. This also involved executing design updates and leading web marketing initiatives.
The original Cool Box logo, featuring an ice cube, suggested a correlation with cold storage, which did not align with the company's services. Cool Box specializes in portable storage containers for moving, not temperature-controlled units.
To better represent the brand, I redesigned the logo to include a storage container illustration, giving potential customers a clearer visual connection to the company's offerings. This new logo is more aligned with Cool Box’s identity and provides a more accurate representation of their services.
3. SEO and Analytics
I employed on page SEO strategies and used Facebook Ads, Bing Ads, and Google AdWords to drive traffic to the website, analyzing user behavior and market trends to refine our approach and maximize ROI.
